Before you book: check your program’s requirements
Five minutes on your program’s admissions page can save you a wasted exam fee. Confirm three things:
- That they accept the current TEAS (Version 7) and how recent the attempt must be—most programs want scores under two years old.
- Where you’re allowed to test. Some schools only accept scores from exams taken on their campus; others accept any proctored attempt, including online.
- How many attempts they allow per admissions cycle, and whether every attempt shows up on your transcript.
Booking a seat, step by step
- Create a student account at atitesting.com—use your legal name exactly as it appears on your photo ID.
- Choose where to test: at a school or testing center in person, or online with a live remote proctor.
- Pick a date with enough room before your application deadline for scores to post—and for a retake if you need one.
- Pay the fee. Pricing is set by the testing location, so expect roughly $65–$140 depending on the school and format.
Test day: what to bring (and what not to)
- A government-issued photo ID with your name matching your registration exactly—this is the rule that catches people.
- For in-person exams: arrive 15–30 minutes early, and leave the calculator at home—the TEAS provides one on screen.
- For online proctored exams: run ATI’s system check the day before, and set up in a quiet, private room with a working webcam.
